Drive to Hawes

We drove to our campsite for the next 10 days, Hawes Caravan Club Site, situated about ½ mile outside Hawes Village. Our entrance into the Yorkshire Dales was through Ingleton and passing the Ribblehead Viaduct before entering the picturesque village of Hawes. As the recent Tour de France passed through this area, lots of bunting is still very visible giving the villages a joyful summer fete feel.

We met up with our friends, Mick & Jill Perry and of course Molly their English Sheepdog who were already set-up on site. We spent the rest of the day catching up and enjoying a few drinks and a meal together.
