We drove to Reeth and followed a 5.5 mile walk through Arkengarthdale and the River Swale that started and finished at Reeth. The walk followed the River Arkle Beck then we circled back into Reeth where we then followed the River Swale on another circular route back to Reeth. Reeth is a lovely village with a large village green surrounded by numerous pubs, shops and a post office. The scenery as usual was wonderful and we managed to stay dry and escape any rainfall!
We drove backover Brownsey Moor to Gunnerside, then continued through Swalevale to Muker and back over the Buttertubs to Hawes.
