We left Valencia and continued our travels South, passing through the town of Cullera.  We had stayed overnight in Cullera last year after we had got our puncture in Valencia.  Cullera has some wonderful beaches.

We continued south to Gandia, parked next to the port for lunch then took a walk around the marina and along the extensive breakwater with lots of numbered fishing perches, presumably that have to be paid for.  Someone must have been distracted when they were numbering them as we found two number 14s next to each other.  There is also a fabulous beach that spreads for 6km.

We are now camped at a pleasant site, L’Alqueria, equal distance between the beach and the commercial centre and finished off our evening with a drink with Peter and Beryl, who ironically, come from Bracknell and who we also met at the campsite in Valencia.

I wasn’t sure if the ‘old retirees of Benidorm’ were up for much of a party these days! We will be calling in to take a look but not staying!
