Dymchurch to Littlestone

On Friday, we arrived at our campsite for the weekend, Daleacres in West Hythe, Kent (a Caravan Club site) just as a thunderstorm broke overhead and the clouds burst.  Not great timing!

We settled on a hardstanding pitch and waited for Tony’s cousin Su and her husband Ron to arrive from Canterbury with their caravan.

In the afternoon we drove to Dymchurch which has a glorious 3 mile beach and a sea wall that runs for approximately 4 miles from Hythe Military Rifle Ranges in the East to St Mary’s Bay in the West. We took off from Dymchurch and walked to Littlestone and back, about 6 miles in total.  The sun was shining and although a bit windy, was very pleasant.

In the evening we walked from the campsite to the local pub, Botolphs Bridge Inn, for dinner, which was very good.
