Broadchurch Revisited?

It looked like another dry day ahead so today we walked from the campsite into West Bay. West Bay was used as one of the locations for the drama series Broadchurch, staring Olivia Colman and David Tennant and one of our aims was to search out buildings and sights used in the series. We spotted quite a few, how many do you recognise from my photos?

We walked along the beach heading east towards Burton Freshwater before picking up the coast path and walking back over the top of East Cliff back into West Bay. We stopped for some lunch in a pub then continued our walk around West Bay which by this time the sun was shining and the harbour, town and beach were looking a lot busier than when we arrived a couple of days ago in the rain.

We walked back along West Cliff to the campsite for some R&R before heading in the opposite direction from the campsite along the coast path to Eype and continued west for some more stunning views of this fabulous coastline.

Tomorrow, we will be moving on a little bit further down the coast to Lyme Regis for another 3 nights and are looking forward to some more walking, cycling and stunning scenery.

You haven’t heard of Broadchurch? Where have you been the past 2 years? There is talk of a third series so I will let you know when it is on the TV.

    Hi Tony & Rose ,
Have been following your travels as usual .Burning up a few calories by the looks of it.
    Where are you now?.
We were away camping at Osmington Mills for 5 days no internet and could not charge the phone so have been out of contact.
Weather could have been a lot better.
    See you soon.

    John & Diane .
