The Sun Has Got His Hat On, Hip, Hip, Hip Hooray!

After a very windy and rainy night, the sun finally showed itself yesterday and we made the most of the dry weather by heading out for a 16 mile very undulating bike ride!

We cycled down the hill from the campsite into Bridport, through the town and headed north before picking up National Cycle Route 2, through the village of Shave Cross, a lovely downhill to the village of Whitchurch Canonicorum before an extremely uphill climb to Ryall, so steep that we had to push our bikes up the hill but the views at the top were worth the climb, beautiful Dorset countryside.

We stopped for a rest and some lunch before enjoying a very steep downhill ride to North Chideock and on to join the main road at Chideock for another uphill climb on a very busy road until we were able to turn off and head for Higher Eype and back to the campsite.

As if that wasn’t enough exercise for one day, after we had revived ourselves with a cup of tea, we played tennis for an hour!
