Two borders crossed today, Austria and Slovenia and driven 175 miles. Had a lovely scenic drive though Austria and arrived at beautiful Lake Bled in Slovenia. The lake is such an amazing colour; today it is a dark jade with an overcast sky and we are hoping to see it again in the sunshine tomorrow morning. We did manage to cycle the lake but got caught in a shower of rain so no rowing boat for me to visit the island on the lake (I think Tony just offered that because he knew it wouldn’t happen!). Now back at the site watching all the ‘posh’ German vans arrive and set up their satellite dishes, whirring around on their rooftops like daleks searching for a signal. Tony is very envious because he cannot watch Coronation Street on our broadband! This evening, the plan is to visit the bar at the end of the campsite on the Lakeside and sample the local beer. Sounds good to me!
Tomorrow hope to visit the Vintgar Gorge before we head to Porec in Croatia.

Looks lovely, seems along way to drive to not watch corrie. You could have driven to our house not to do that. Like the photos, don’t envy you all the driving, went today to Windsor today, that’s far enough.

It is a long way to watch Corrie but thanks to all our friends Tony is being updated on the Corrie storyline. He is happy because we can listen to LBC through his ipad even whilst on the move with the 3G gizmo gadget, it’s great. Tony says you are a woose regarding the driving!
